Team BMR and Pyro Clio Cup Driver Josh Price recovered well from a difficult weekend at Donington in the Clio Cup.

Rounds 3 & 4 of the Renault Clio Cup UK Championship headed to Donington Park. A mixed range of weather conditions, featuring 4 seasons in one day left the track conditions a lottery for all drivers.

Josh Price endured a difficult qualifying, with a lack of grip over the course of the session compromising his laptimes as he ended up 17th overall in timed qualifying. Josh's best time occurred on the 4th lap of the session, whilst his rivals peaked much later in the improving conditions, indicating something was a miss. With the 2nd fastest laps considered for the Race 2 grid, Josh was again 17th overall.

Race 1 (Round 3) started with a frantic change of positions. In the first lap melee, Josh was involved in an accident that caused substantial car damage, as he had to limp home to the pits at the end of the opening lap to retire the car, resulting in his first DNF (Did not finish) of the season.

After the difficulties of the third round, Josh had to score points in this race to salvage something from what was a challenging weekend. A good start vaulted him up to 14th position as Josh steadily began to increase pace and pick his rivals off. By lap 6 Josh was up to 12th position, setting lap times rivalling the leading pack as he took chunks of time out of the group ahead.

Josh caught the pack fighting for 7th position on the 9th lap, later benefiting from the battling up ahead, Josh squeezed through to take 9th position whilst still showing great pace even in traffic.

Price held 9th to the flag, which later became 8th after a rival driver infront was penalised for exceeding track limits too many times.Despite a very difficult weekend, Josh managed to salvage some more points which could prove valuable in the standings at the end of the season.

Josh Price is 10th overall in the Clio Cup Championship Standings, and 2nd overall in the Graduate Cup.
The next round will take place at the high speed Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire on the 7th May.
